CHS is connected in SPP mode

The Socket Mobile CHS device is by default setup in HID-Keyboard mode. In this mode the scanner acts as a external Bluetooth keyboard and no barcode setup is needed in Glink.

A better solution is to connect the scanner in SPP mode. A Settings icon will show at the action bar in the Barcode setup screen when Socket mobile is selected. Tap the icon and follow the steps.

A special ScannerSettings app (SocketScan) is delivered by Socket Mobile and can be used as an alternative to set the Scanner in SPP mode.

For setting other configuration options, use command barcodes found at www.socketmobile.com. Typically you can configure the CHS to add Cr (Enter) or Tab at the end of the scanned barcode, or add nothing and instead configure Glink to add the control characters if needed.
